Spring has definitely sprung around here! Since we've only done a little cleanup in the yard since we moved in (and only planted small trees and some boxwoods) it's been fun to see what flowers pop up in our front yard--already you can see some yellow and orange tulips blooming. The large pink shrub behind the tulips is called a Ruby Chinese Fringe Flower. After a little wind and rain last night, the cherry blossom tree's flower petals are all over the lawn--it's like we had a spring snow shower! It's a nice effect.
Oh, and if you've had a stressful week and want to start off your weekend with a little irreverent humor, check out my go-to blog for good laughs: my sister's new blog, The Cluck and Strut. Her musings on life have always been hilarious and I'm so glad she's finally sharing them with the world!
Happy weekend!

ReplyDeleteWhat is the white tree called in front of your house? It looks so pretty :-)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Sirena! It's a cherry blossom tree; up close, the little flowers have a nice pink tint.
